Nikki Vanecek

L.Ac., Dipl.Ac. (NCCAOM)

Nikki has a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Northwestern Health Science University.

Her internships included two years advanced practice at The Courage Center treating stroke, spinal cord injury, and other neurological conditions.  She also has three years of experience at University of Minnesota’s Edith Davis Clinic. While at the Edith Davis Clinic she successfully treated both acute and chronic pain, including chronic migraines and fibromyalgia.

In addition to schooling in the United States, Nikki also has international training at the top-ranked medical college in Tain Jin China. This training included intensives in Cardiology, Gynecology, Neurology, and pain in addition to work in general practice areas.

Nikki serves on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota College of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine Alumni Association and is a member of the Minnesota Acupuncture Association.

Katie Steffensen

L.Ac., Dipl.Ac. (NCCAOM)

 She received her BS in Health Sciences and her MS degree in Acupuncture and East Asian medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA in 2017.
She focuses in modern acupuncture techniques for muscular conditions, sports injuries, and acute or chronic pain; such as back pain, neuropathy, and sciatica. She follows an integrated approach to patient care where Western medicine and Eastern medicine meet to function together. She regards emotional wellbeing, sleep, and nutrition as an important factor in general healing processes of the body.
Katie specializes in acupuncture and Chinese herbs for emotional wellbeing, digestive health, female reproductive health, sleep, and stress.
She believes Traditional Chinese Medicine provides a common-sense framework most of us haven’t learned to adopt into our modern busy lifestyles. Her scope of practice includes acupuncture, trigger/motor points, cupping, gua sha/dermal friction massage, Chinese herbs, nutrition, and supplements.

In her spare time Katie enjoys bouldering, weightlifting, mountaineering, canoeing, Zen meditation, and reading about science and philosophy. She lives in Minneapolis with her partner Christopher and two cats Clover and Thor.
